In the development of paper products, there are many new varieties that are environmentally friendly. For example, a full-paper structural drum is a new and better green packaging container. From the packaging development point of view, the full paper structure of the paper barrels not only achieves the purpose of green packaging for environmental protection, but also meets the packaging requirements for exporting to Europe and the United States. All-paper structural paper drums are much better than traditional iron hoop paper drums in terms of raw material consumption, processing technology, product cost, environmental protection and packaging requirements, and are ideal green packaging containers.

Shandong Hualin Paper Co., Ltd. and Tianjin Song Daxing Special Paper Research Institute successfully co-produced in Dongying and put into mass production of a new type of green, environmental-friendly, high-strength buried green bag paper. Simultaneously with the continuous papermaking operation, the water soluble yarn is once formed into a high-strength buried green packaging paper. During the production process, no pulp is produced, no acid, alkali, and waste liquids are discharged. While utilizing renewable resources to implement green packaging projects, white pollution problems in environmental protection are effectively solved. The product has good burst resistance, moisture resistance and anti-counterfeiting. The water-soluble yarns in the paper can be dissolved in 95°C water and can be recycled. After testing by the National Packaging Products Quality Supervision and Testing Center, the products have all met the standards for superior products, and have obtained technical approvals from Japan, Indonesia, South Korea and other countries, and signed marketing contracts.

With the rapid development of science and technology and people's growing concern for environmental protection, packaging paper is developing in a functional manner. (1) Antiseptic. Papers incorporating cristobalite and activated carbon can be used to make corrugated cartons for the transport of flowers, which absorb hydrogen sulfide that causes spoilage of flowers. (2) Antibacterial. In the production of natural pulp, sterile gas is injected. This paper has the function of preventing the intrusion of bacteria and can be used for the packaging of medical instruments. (3) Anti-oxidation. Paper made from weak base beating protects the characters and books from erosion in acidic environments. (4) moisture proof. Dip-coated paper can improve moisture resistance. Can be used to make rainproof bags for fruit tree nursery and prevent bagging. (5) Deodorant. Paper made of a porous inorganic substance and organic flavonol can absorb abnormal odors such as ammonia. (6) Heat resistance. Cardboard made from specially treated pulp has good heat resistance and water absorption steam properties and can be used as a microwave food packaging box. (7) Fire resistance. Paper made from a mixture of aluminum hydroxide and natural pulp, or a mixture of phosphorized pulp and glass fiber, has good flame resistance. (8) Acid resistance. The paper made by mixing special pulp with additives has excellent shading and acid resistance. (9) Oil resistance. The inner layer of the board is treated with oil-resistance to prevent oil from penetrating. The surface of the board can be printed with a general paint treatment. The board is mainly used for the packaging of oily foods. (10) Fire resistance. The paper made of 100% natural pulp mixed with human emulsion resin has excellent water resistance, folding resistance and friction resistance. (11) Sense of water. The paper treated with a special coating will immediately make the white paper transparent after absorbing moisture, and the contents can be seen through the package without appealing to the package. (12) Keep fresh. Papers made with natural resins that have been chemically treated with absorbent resins are suitable for fresh-keeping packaging. (13) Silence. Low density paper made with non-carcinogenic asbestos fibers, waste paper, rags, etc., has superior sound absorption, water absorption, heat insulation, and cushioning effects.

Every year, a large amount of paper and cardboard are used for packaging, and a large amount of paper packaging waste will also be generated. How to use this waste has attracted more and more attention both in the environment and in the use of resources. The recycling of paper packaging waste has the following aspects: (1) The recycling of paper packaging waste can reduce the consumption of natural fiber raw material resources and solve the shortage of packaging resources. At the same time, it can save a lot of packaging raw materials and energy. (2) The recycling of paper packaging wastes will greatly reduce production costs and achieve greater social and economic benefits. (3) Recycling paper packaging waste is one of the important measures to reduce packaging pollution and protect the environment. Paper packaging production and discarded paper packaging waste often pollute the environment and cause public hazards. The comprehensive utilization of paper packaging waste is the basic principle and important measure to prevent environmental pollution, and it is also the most active and effective method to solve the problem of packaging pollution. The recycling of packaging waste can be used to harm the environment. It not only protects the environment, prevents the effects of public hazards, but also solves the shortage of packaging resources. Therefore, we should actively carry out the recycling of paper packaging waste, strengthen the establishment of recycling networks, formulate relevant policies on resources, environmental protection, and prices, use quantitative LCA techniques for quantitative assessment, and seek ways to better improve the environment.
