Founder Of Packaging Technology Specialist Schubert Passes Away

Gerhard Schubert founded the company in 1966 and today, the company develops modular robot-assisted top loading packaging machines. Schubert laid the foundation for the company in 1953 with an apprenticeship as a mechanic. He then spent several years gathering experience as a design engineer at the Strunck and Kugler companies before setting up his own engineering and design office in 1964. In a statement, the company said that Schubert passed away peacefully. It added: “With his pioneering spirit and entrepreneurial daring, Gerhard Schubert built the small company into an international group of companies over a period of decades and took the family business to the forefront of the world’s packaging manufacturers. He always remained down-to-earth and deeply connected to the region surrounding his hometown of Crailsheim. In addition to his two sons Ralf and Gerald Schubert, the next generation of grandchildren is now working in the company.”
